Sistema Hui

Yesterday at 5.30 we played in the end of year hui for Sistema. It was for our parents to show them how much we have developed and learnt over the year.

All of the different groups from beginners to Tiki who have been playing for many years, entertained the crowd at the Vodafone Event Centre.

We played along with Mikaylah and many other children from Bairds as well as students other local schools.

Our favourite part was the co-lab we had with the Kupe group to play Poi E because they played a different part that harmonised with us and it sounded wonderful.

It was great to hear the applause and cheering from the parents and people in the audience.

It was a sad day for Whaea Ross because it was her last concert with us. It's sad for us too because she has been part of Sistema Aotearoa the whole time we have been there.
