Our Assembly

For the last couple of weeks we have been practising for our assembly.

The day was finally here and on Friday we hosted the
school assembly along with our buddy
class, Room 17. We sang and danced and
presented the assembly. It was great fun.
We even got the teachers up dancing.

After what happened in Christchurch last month, we have been
reminded how important it is to come together and help each
other. We sang Moment of Truth which talks about coming
together to make the world a better place.

We danced to the Wheels on the Bus Remix and then we got the whole school up to dance.

It was a special day because it was Mr Lyth's birthday so we did a couple of things especially for him at the assembly. After all, it isn't every day that your principal turns 70. In the morning we had a special hui where we sang to him and gave him a present. Everyone in the school wrote a message or made something to go in his card.
