The Last Session of Squash & Our Feedback

Today Ricardo and Jude delivered our last session of Squash. We have loved our sessions with them and our skills have definitely developed.Peter &Henry: For the past few weeks we have been learning how to play squash and how to cooperate as a team. It was a privilege to play in an actual squash court. It was fun being with our instructors Jude, Neil and Ricardo. Our worst was part leaving because we loved it SOOOOO much. We hope the next generations have fun at squash just like we did.

Allando & Vai: This term the Senior Syndicate was fortunate enough to have squash lessons every Tuesday. There, we were taught how to play squash and the rules of squash. Each session we progressed and everyone got better and better. There were team tournaments and single player tournaments where we would compete to come out on top and be victorious. Our coaches were Riccardo, Neil and Jude. They were very helpful and clear when they gave instructions. Our sessions were very fun and full of joy and competitiveness. I also thank Miss McAree for organizing this fun activity.     Ezrah and Jahzay- For the past few weeks we have been playing competitive games against other teams, with Jude, Ricardo and Neil. My favourite part of squash was when I was versing Bryce and he kept on hitting the ball out, or too high. It was so much fun than it had to come to an end. On the last day of Squash we versed each other for more points. Thank You soooooooo much Jude and Ricardo.

Ocean & Zantye- On Tuesdays we would always have a session with our wonderful coaches Jude and Ricardo. Every session we learnt something new and every time we played we would always be in teams on each court. Sometimes we had a competition with other teams and sometimes with people from your own group. The hardest part was versing with the hardest people from our class and the easy part was versing other teams. When we had our sessions with Jude and Riccardo they told us that sometimes when we play we have to be competitive. Kane and Esila- Every Tuesday this term we got to skip maths and go to squash. Our favorite part  of squash was when we had to score points against the other teams. The funniest part for me was when I hit the ball and it hit Mikey in the eye and he fell straight down. And Kane's funny part was when Henry got whipped by Jude at the squash court. Thank you Jude,Ricardo and Miss McAree.

Abi & Mikaylah-  Term 4 for the seniors was a blast with Ricardo and Jude the amazing Squash coaches. They taught us how to play squash and the rules in the game. Coach also taught us techniques that they use in their game. We learnt the safety of squash like how not to swing the racket around because it might hit someone in the face. The equipment you need for squash is a racket, a ball and a court that has two sides and a big face that you have to hit. In order to serve to your opponent properly is to hit the ball above the serve line. There is a line just a little bit off the ground saying that you can not hit below that line. How you play? You and your opponent stand about one meter from each other. One person hits above the serve line and than the other person hits it as hard as he or she can hit. You can not the ball to yourself and when you finish a game you have to shake hands with your opponent. Thank you Mrs McAree for arranging the squash lessons for us. Thank you also to Riccardo and Jude for teaching us the amazing but tiring sport.

Mikey & Darrell - On Tuesdays Room 11 goes out for squash with Ricardo and Jude. I had a cool time with the team and I wish I could do it again. They taught us how to play and how to hit the ball properly. My favorite part was how my classmate  were trying their best and how some of the girls would  scream after they had lost.  That was funny. I will miss Jude and Riccardo and I wish them good luck for the future.
Colin & James  - Every Tuesday this term we would played with Ricardo, Neil and Jude. The first time that we went to squash we were kind of sad because the real squash court wasn’t there. Then the next week he brought the real squash court and that was super cool! Then the next week we played if you win you go up or if you lose you go down a court and court 1 was the best court. James and I made it to court 1. I’m going to miss squash next year. Thank you Jude, Neil and Ricardo for squash.

George & Demitrji- Every squash session we get to miss maths and play squash. We get to verse each other and have competitions and rallies. We got  to do lots of things like have team competitions and fun competitive rounds. We also played individual games so we could see who could get to squash court number 1. We would like to thank Jude & Ricardo for spending their time doing squash.

Evalonie & Nanasi- In squash we had two amazing coaches. Their names are Ricardo and Jude they were so nice. On our first day of squash we did 10 practice rallys and then we got to be competitive and start to get points. On our second to last squash session, Jude wasn’t there on that day because he was sick. Riccardo was the person who was doing the squash. He put us to teams to work by ourselves to get our team a point and in each round we got to verse other people in other teams but it was kinda hard because we had to be very good.On the last day of squash we had to get into groups of five or six then the two people that sat next to each other had to verse each other for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. After the 2 minutes past we shook each other's hand and gave the racket to the next two people. The losing people and the winning people had to change a person and it was very fun!

Jemiah & Gafatasi - In squash we played against each other and played in teams with each other. We had lots of fun playing squash every Tuesday. Our favorite part of squash was playing competitions, and versing other people in our class. On the last day of squash we had to get in groups of five or six then we versed the person at the back of you and battled, but whoever lost and had the least amount of points got to go with another person who had lost. But whoever won would continue on and play another winner.

Rangi and Destiny - Every Tuesday since Week two,  the senior school has been doing squash. We learnt how to play and learnt new skills. We all loved meeting the coaches  Riccardo and Jude who helped us the whole way through. But we wish it went on forever. We played against each other, and played in teams. It was so FUN. It was sometimes hard  when we were versing the best person in the class A K A Henry.April & Laurel & Merceius- This is term four squash. We have been learning about it and how to play it. We love the game and we wish they didn't have to go so soon. We all have learnt the rules and the way the game flows. We think that they are good coaches and have taught us more about how to be competitive. How to play? There are three lines and you can hit above the two at the very bottom and the very top line is out so if you hit above it, that is out. You verse another person each round. The rounds on the last session went for about two minutes and thirty seconds so that's not very long.
