Last week was Cook Island Language Week.
On Monday Katy encouraged us to speak Cook Island te reo so that the Cook Island Maori Language may blossom.
In Kahu 5 we danced and read about the Cook Islands. We watched clips and practised speaking Cook Island phrases.
On Friday we closed the week with a fantastic assembly.
We were so proud of Tyson who was part of the dance group who performed for us.
A big thank you to Aiesha, Locklyn and Matthew who helped me with pronunciation and along with Cloe, taught Kahu 5 the dance for assembly.
I loved this performance.
